One very efficient way to limit the freedom of the operator and get more control over the assembly process, is making sure that the tools only work when they are in the right position.

The ProSuite® positioning option guarantees you an unfailing tracking of all assembly actions.

We can track the position of the tool in various ways:

Only allow the tool to be used or validated when he is between position X1 and X2, can be done with

photocells or encoders depending on the mechanical setup.

Complete freedom with RTLS options; add an active tag to your tool (Caterpillar®)

The system is based on the leading, precise and real-time locating system of Ubisense, that's developed to locate and identify production facilities.

By assembling a Unisense tag to every tightnening tool and giving every tag environmental planning around every depot, the system can distinguish in which zone each tool is and send these data to the controller. The software of ProSuite® makes sure that only the right handling can be made with the right tool and logs all the data.

In the following videos we have examples of the RTLS-system
